Greg’s Interview with Friendly Fireside Chats: The Word Is Getting Out

Greg was engaged in another interview for Da Spokesman And The Awesomeness League.

Greg said, “It was a humbling experience to be giving an opportunity to speak on the project. I really had fun in expressing the message and the purpose of Da Spokesman and The Awesomeness League.”

Greg’s Interview with Friendly Fireside Chats: An Excerpt Of The Interview

Below is an excerpt from the interview that Greg had with Friendly Fireside Chats:

Greg's Interview with Friendly Fireside Chats

McKee recently sat down with Greg ‘Da Spokesman’ Stargell, mastermind behind the on-going series Da Spokesman And The Awesomeness League to talk about his game-slash-comic. Read below for some interesting tidbits about the development process and bear witness to the beginnings of Friendly Fireside Interviews.

Friendly Fireside Chats: Hey Greg! Thanks for agreeing to do this interview! This is our first text interview for the site and I’m pretty excited to have you here, talking about your game. I see that it just got an IndieDB page on the first of the year, so…congratulations!

Greg ‘Da Spokesman’ Stargell: Yeah thanks. I was surprised when I got the email about it. It was a great accomplishment. Awesome and thanks it is an honor to be the first one.

FFC: Well, it’s an honor to be on this side of the metaphorical table, too. And I don’t doubt you feel accomplished, that’s no small feat. Before we get going to some more specific questions, let’s hear the pitch. What’s the idea behind your game, Da Spokesman And The Awesomeness League?

Da Spokesman: At first, I developed Da Spokesman to be like a character to combat the other superheroes for bragging rights. Then it changed when I had a conversation about the essence of trust and building a team and I used ‘Final Fantasy 8′ as a tool to help get the point across.

It was at the point I noticed I could help reach my generation and younger generations through video games.

I changed the purpose of Da Spokesman to be a person that people can relate to and gain ideas on how to overcome different obstacles in life. I decided to add other superheroes so that it would be easier to cover different things from different prospective.

So even though they are superheroes with powers they are still ordinary people inside that do extraordinary things.

Greg's Interview with Friendly Fireside Chats

FFC: The point, then, is that while Superman might be super strong, even if he wasn’t, he’d get the job done?

Da Spokesman: You can say that. The battles that Da Spokesman and The Awesomeness League have with the villains are there for entertainment but it is the internal battles they have that show the strength that we all need to get over different struggles.

FFC: I’m seeing that this is all very much based in comic book lore. Big fan of comics?

Da Spokesman: Yes I am, I am more biased towards Marvel because my favorite superheroes were Spider-Man and Iron Man. We had made a comic book issue before the completion of the first game.

FFC: You must have really enjoyed the recent years in cinema, then. What do you mean by that last comment?

Da Spokesman: We had made what we called the zeroth edition of Da Spokesman and The Awesomeness League. It has nothing to do with the storyline of the series but it was mainly like an introduction to the characters that would start the series.

FFC: Oh, that’s neat! I didn’t know about that. So, was the original idea, then, to be a comic book? And then FF8 changed your mind? Or FF8 is what changed the protagonist from ‘show off and best other superheroes’ to what it is today?

Da Spokesman: Final Fantasy 8 changed my vision of the character in the concept phase/story writing. That was before I found someone who could illustrate. While in the middle of the production of the comic, I had found someone who could code as well. So the video game was developed shortly after the comic was completed. So you can say, the experience with FF8 had sparked the change in the protagonist. Thank you Square Enix!

FFC: Was the goal always to have a video game after the comic? What made you choose to do both, as opposed to just one?

Da Spokesman: Yes, I thought it was easier to do the comic and less expensive to do a comic book than a video game. With things like GameMaker and Unity, it does not require you to break the piggy bank or be a rocket scientist to develop a game. Plus, when you have a team it makes it easier to do both.

FFC: It seems that there are a few people on your team, then? At least one more who codes and another artist. Anyone else? Any shout outs to give?

How To Be More Confident In Your Life

Key Ways We Hinder The Law Of Attraction Part 3

How To Be More Confident In Your Life: You Can Do It

Some people just seem to naturally know how to be confident in any given situation. Let’s face it; learning how to be more confident can seem like a daunting task.

However, if you want to have the courage to go after your dreams, you owe it to yourself to learn the secrets to being a more confident person.

How To Be More Confident In Your Life: 4 Steps To Becoming More Confident

Here are the steps on how to be more confident in your life.

How To Be More Confident In Your LifeHow To Be More Confident In Your Life Step #1: Think Yourself Confident

There is a part of your mind that can work wonders in changing your life. It’s your subconscious mind. The remarkable thing about this part of your mind is that it doesn’t know the difference between something that you’ve imagined and something real.

If you spend time vividly imagining a goal, a hope or a dream, the subconscious accepts that that goal or hope or dream is yours. Then, instead of trying to talk you out of it, it literally sets out to make the blueprint a reality.

How To Be More Confident In Your Life Step #2: Write It Down

The subconscious also doesn’t know the difference between something you write that is only a dream or if it is a reality. So write things in the present tense. Get in the habit of seeing things from the end.

In other words, see yourself as someone who knows how to be confident in any situation. If you picture yourself as a public speaker, write down a story about detailing what a great speaker you are.

Picture the audience laughing and smiling- they are really enjoying your presentation.

Describe in as much details as possible how you are feeling as you stand up in front of this group of people. Concentrate on how confident you are that things are going well.

Write a mini-movie, with you as the director, producer and star!

How To Be More Confident In Your Life Step #3: Cut and Paste

Most of us have, at one time or another made a collage. A collage is a collection of pictures, usually things that are meaningful to the person that’s collecting them.

Find and cut out pictures that represent the desired outcome. In this case, you might want to find pictures of people that are engaged in activities that you want to do.

They know how to be confident in this situation and look like they are having a good time.

Don’t just pick photos that you think will do. Be picky. Remember, you are the leader of your own life. Take your time and choose, cut and paste pictures that really speak to you.

If you see a picture that shows someone doing something that you wish you could do, but the picture makes you feel anxious or nervous, don’t use it.

Likewise, you won’t want to choose something that is too unbelievable.

The subconscious may not know the difference between a vividly held dream and reality, but it won’t believe you’ve become an astronaut unless you believe it yourself!

How To Be More Confident In Your LifeHow To Be More Confident In Your Life Step #4: Take Action

Take advantage of any public speaking classes or workshops offered in your area. Remember, learning how to be confident is like learning any other skill – it should be practiced.

Join a group, take a class – taking daily actions towards your ultimate goal will get you there faster.

How To Be More Confident In Your Life: As I Said Before You Can Do It

You can learn how to be confident in many situations. The most important thing is to enjoy the process. Whatever the goal, the subconscious will help bring about amazing results.

Greg Was Issued A Video Game Challenge Part II

As you have seen in the first blog post which was against Omega, a superboss in Final Fantasy V. If you have not seen the blog then click the link below to check it out:
Greg vs. Omega

This is the second superboss in Final Fantasy V. This one is located in one of the chest near the very end of the game. In my opinion, he is the hardest of the two. I was told that it was impossible to beat the bosses with a level less than 70. So I took on the challenge and boy it was a challenge (that was sarcasm).

Without taking too much of your time lets go into the video game challenge.

Video Game Challenge Video: Greg Vs. Shinryu

Lets Get Ready To RRRRRRRRRRRUMBLEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Video Game Challenge Information

This is a battle between myself and Shinryu

My team is at lvl 43 except for Reina who is level 41.

Bartz (Greg) – Bare
Reina – Mime
Krille – Red Mage
Faris – Mime

I had technical difficulties with the camera because the battery died but don’t worry you would not miss
any part of the battle.

As you can see I destroyed the notion of impossibility. A key lesson to take from the challenges I have done is to not accept what others call impossible you may end up doing it.

For successful people have the habit of doing things that unsuccessful people would not do.

Video Game Challenge: Greg “Da Spokesman” Stargell vs. Omega

My Experience At The Retro Game Night

Greg Was Issued A Video Game Challenge

This is one of the video game challenges that I have received from the Final Fantasy Community. It is one of the superbosses from the Final Fantasy series.

In Final Fantasy V, there are two main superbosses in the game, Omega and Shinyru. This is not the Game Boy Advance version but the one that you can acquire from the Playstation Network (PSN). Therefore it is a similar version from the Japanese Famicon edition. So let me stop my yapping and let you watch the video.

Video Game Challenge Video

Let’s Get Ready To RUMBLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Video Game Challenge Information

I have included information on the logistics of what I had did to accomplish this task of destroying this enemy.

The interesting thing is that I had the opportunity of beating Omega not once, not twice, but three times before I made this video. I had to reset the game after the first two wins because I forgot to record.

Bartz – Bare
Reina – Red Mage
Krille – Mime
Faris – Archer

This superboss in my opinion has to be one of the easiest superbosses in the Final Fantasy Series.

Also check out the next blog in the series to check out me defeating the next superboss, Shinryu.

I offer you an opportunity to submit a video game challenge or if there is a video game that you want me to review then feel free to comment below or join my Facebook fanpage and submit it there.

Again thank you all for checking out my page and blog post. I hope you all enjoyed it and if you were one of the people that that it was impossible to beat the boss, Omega, I hope it inspire and empower you to do the same thing I did and defeat the barrier of impossibility.

Finally I would like to welcome you to an opportunity to get you out of the matrix. If you would like more information on how I make money by doing what I love, click the banner below and while you there choose the right pill, Neo.
